Reducing Complications from Bone Fractures Through a Multidisciplinary Approach

Injured in a car accident, twisted an ankle while jogging, or fallen while doing chores: A broken bone can happen in the blink of an eye. But not all fractures are the same. Complications such as malalignment or postoperative infections can also occur. To provide patients with optimal care in such cases, interdisciplinary coordination in diagnosis and treatment is essential. The “EXPERT” project, launched in June 2022 by the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Münster (WWU), addresses this need.
